At just 8.5 miles away, Alton Towers Resort can't be ignored as a local attraction! Catering for all ages the resort is now open for the 2015 season right through until 8th November 2015. Established in 1991, Blackbrook zoological park has recently reopened with fantastic new exhibits. A beautiful 11-mile journey from Froghall to Leekbrook on some of Britains classic steam trains. Reopened in 2001 after 40 years, the journey takes you through 5 stations, each with its own story to tell.
